Hanoi, January 19 (AseanAll)  — The 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) opens in Ha Noi on January 19,2026, according to Vietnamese government portal(VGP) .

The 14th National Party Congress draws the participation of 1,586 delegates representing 5.6 million Party members nationwide.

Themed "Solidarity-Democracy-Discipline-Breakthrough-Development", the Congress is set to discuss and approve the Political Report of the 13th CPV Central Committee.

The delegates will also discuss a report summarising theoretical and practical issues regarding 40 years of socialist-oriented Doi moi (Renewal) in Viet Nam; a report reviewing 15 years of implementing the Party Charter (2011–2025) with proposed amendments; and a report on the performance of the 13th CPV Central Committee.
