Chinese Embassy in Malaysia Hosts Open Day

Kuala Lumpuri, January 18 (AseanAll)  — On January 17, 2026,The Chinese Embassy in Malaysia hosted an Open Day, inviting over a hundred local varsity students to visit the Embassy, experience traditional Chinese culture, and welcome the coming Year of the Horse. Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Ouyang Yujing attended and delivered remarks.

Ouyang Yujing said that under the strategic guidance of head-of-state diplomacy and the leaders, China-Malaysia relations have made historic achievements in 2025. In 2026, both countries will further strengthen development planning and strategic coordination, while striving for solid progress in advancing the building of a high-level strategic China-Malaysia community with a shared future, so as to make greater contributions to the peace, stability, progress, and prosperity of the region and the world. 

The Ambassador also extended Spring Festival greetings to the students, encouraging them to join forces with youths from all over the world and respond to the call of the times to build a better world.

During the event, Embassy staff gave the students a tour of the Embassy. Students also viewed videos on China's development and Spring Festival traditions, tried on the Hanfu, and participated in activities like dumpling making, brass rubbing, pitch-pot, wind chime heritage handcraft and rattle drum making.
