(AseanAll) — A delegation from the ASEAN Observer Team (AOT), including Major (U) Pengiran Abdul Azim bin Pengiran Idris, the representative from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), conducted a visit to the Cambodia–Japan Mongkol Borey Hospital on 13 November 2025.

During the visit, the observer team was given access to meet and evaluate the condition of those affected in Prey Chan Village, O’ Bei Chan Commune, O’ Chrov District.

Prior to the establishment of the AOT, the Interim Observer Team (IOT) was established and began operations in Preah Vihear and Banteay Meanchey Provinces on 11 September 2025, with a mandate to observe, verify and report on any incidents along the Cambodia-Thailand border.
On 24 October 2025, IOT was officially upgraded to AOT, following the signing and ratification of the Terms of Reference (TOR) for the implementation of the AOT mission by Cambodia and Thailand in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
