Fuzhou,November 16 (AseanAll) — On 16 November 2025, Shi Zhongjun, Secretary General of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), met with the delegation led by Yorrys Raweyai, Deputy Chairman of the Regional Representative Council of the Republic of Indonesia (DPD RI), who were in Fuzhou,Fujian Province,China, for the ASEAN-China Week (ACW) 2025. Ms. Badikenita Putri Sitepu, Chairperson of Committee II of the DPD RI, represented Deputy Chairman Raweyai at the meeting.

Shi Zhongjun expressed sincere gratitude to Deputy Chairman Raweyai for accepting the invitation to lead the delegation to ACW 2025.
He stated that as a flagship event for advancing the ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, ACW has evolved into an important platform for building consensus and deepening practical cooperation. The newly added ASEAN-China Youth Roundtable on Marine Cooperation on this year’s agenda, proposed by Indonesia, offers a platform for young people to share ideas on the blue economy and marine ecology. As an inter-governmental organization jointly established by China and ASEAN Member States, the ACC is committed to translating leaders’ consensus into concrete actions and aligning strategies on both sides This year marks the 75th anniversary of China-Indonesia diplomatic relations, and bilateral ties continue to gain momentum under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state. The ACC stands ready to work with the DPD RI to expand cooperation in trade and investment, vocational education, culture and tourism, the digital economy and the blue economy, thus contributing to the building of a China-Indonesia community with a shared future and pushing the ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership to a deeper level.

Sitepu stated that the DPD RI attaches great importance to cooperation with China and highly appreciates the unique role the ACC plays in advancing the ASEAN-China cooperation and promoting people-to-people connectivity.
She emphasized that ACW, as an important platform focusing on the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two sides, has injected strong impetus into regional cooperation, with its rich agenda and pragmatic cooperation orientation. Indonesia looks forward to strengthening collaboration with the ACC in capacity-building, local governance and sustainable development, and hopes that ACW will be held in ASEAN countries in the future, allowing more ASEAN people to witness the tangible benefits of cooperation. The DPD RI is ready to enhance cooperation and mutual support with the ACC, to contribute to inheriting the traditional friendship between Indonesia and China and building the ASEAN-China Community with a Shared Future.
