Thai Foreign Minister meets with Thai business representatives in Cambodia

Bangkok, October 10 (AseanAll)  — On 10 October 2025,  Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Thai Minister of Foreign Affairs, presided over a meeting with representatives of the Thai private sector operating in Cambodia at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand.

The objective of the meeting was to understand the challenges and impacts faced by these Thai businesses by hearing their views, concerns and suggestions regarding the Thailand - Cambodia border situation and proposals to alleviate the economic impacts. 

In attendance were over 90 participants from 20 industry representatives, including the Thailand - Cambodia Business Council, the Thai Business Council of Cambodia and relevant government agencies.

The Foreign Minister emphasized the Government’s efforts to address the conflict through a comprehensive approach encompassing border security, economic recovery, and people-to-people relations between the two countries. 

Following the meeting, the Ministry will consolidate the views and recommendations received from the private sector and present them to the Economic Policy Commitee for consideration of appropriate assistance and relief measures for affected Thai businesses, especially SMEs.
