Newly-appointed Chinese Ambassador to Thailand Zhang Jianwei presents his credentials to Thai King

Bangkok, October 10 (AseanAll)  — The newly-appointed Chinese Ambassador to Thailand Zhang Jianwei presented his credentials to King Maha Vajiralongkorn of Thailand at Amphorn Sathan Palace in Bangkok on October 10, 2025. King Vajiralongkorn of Thailand had a cordial and friendly conversation with Ambassador Zhang.

Zhang Jianwei first conveyed Chinese President Xi Jinping's cordial greetings and best wishes to Thai King Vajiralongkorn, stating that China and Thailand are good neighbors, good friends, good relatives, and good partners, and that China attaches great importance to developing friendly relations with Thailand. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand and the "Golden Jubilee 50 Years of China-Thailand Friendship." China will continue to work with Thailand to implement the important consensus reached by the two countries' high-level leaders and make more achievements towards a China-Thailand community with a shared future.

Vajiralongkorn asked Ambassador Zhang to convey his sincere greetings to Chinese President Xi Jinping, saying that Thailand and China are close and friendly neighbors and the two peoples are as close as brothers. Thailand is willing to expand exchanges and cooperation with China at the bilateral, regional and international levels to benefit the people of the two countries and promote prosperity and development in the region and the world.

Zhang Jianwei arrived in Thailand to assume his new post on July 29, 2025, and presented a copy of his credentials to Chakkrid Krachaiwong, Director-General of the Department of Protocol, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand on July 30.
