(AseanAll) — Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, on 27 September 2025 visited the British Forces Brunei (BFB) in Mumong, the Belait District,Brunei.
Accompanying the Sultan was 920 Major (Udara) Prince 'Abdul Mateen.
Upon arrival at the Officers’ Mess BFB Garrison, the Sultan was greeted by representatives from both the United Kingdom and Brunei Darussalam. The Sultan was then presented with a Maala garland before being presented with a briefing on Second Battalion, Royal Gurkha Rifles (2RGR) BFB activities.
The Sultan also inspected the Guard of Honour, led by Major Ed Hicks, Officer Commanding C Company, 2 RGR, and witnessed several cultural performances.
During the visit, the Sultan had the opportunity to meet and greet with BFB personnel families and attended a Luncheon.
The visit reaffirms the long-standing close relations between the United Kingdom and Brunei Darussalam, as well as the bilateral cooperation in regional security.
