Bangkok, July 18 (AseanAll) — On 17 July 2025, Maris Sangiampongsa, Thai Minister of Foreign Affairs, had a telephone conversation with Rafael Mariano Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), at the latter’s request.
Both sides exchanged views on the close partnership between Thailand and the IAEA in advancing the peaceful applications of nuclear science and technologies for development.
The Director General of the IAEA expressed his intention to visit Thailand at a mutually convenient date.
The IAEA is a Vienna-based United Nations-related international organization, mandated to promote of safe, secure and peaceful uses of nuclear energy.
