Kuala Lumpur, July 9 (AseanAll) — Thai Minister of Foreign Affairs Maris Sangiampongsa has held key bilateral meetings on July 8th during the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Kuala Lumpur. The discussions aimed to strengthen regional partnerships and economic cooperation.
In a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam, Bui Thanh Son, both sides agreed to build on their recently elevated Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
They will develop a plan focusing on technology, innovation, food security, and connectivity. Both ministers also agreed to maintain a regular exchange of high-level visits.
Maris also met with the newly appointed Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines, Ma. Theresa P. Lazaro.
They discussed enhancing economic cooperation, including trade, investment, and supply chain collaboration. The Foreign Minister also affirmed Thailand’s full support for the Philippines as it prepares to chair ASEAN next year.
