Liu Jianchao said that Myanmar was one of the first countries to establish diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China. The two countries jointly advocated and practiced the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, while the two peoples established the "pauk-phaw" friendship. In recent years, under the framework of the Belt and Road cooperation and the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor, the two sides have continuously deepened cooperation in economy, trade, investment, infrastructure, electricity and energy, effectively driving the economic development of the regions along the Belt and Road and benefiting the people of the two countries. Not long ago, Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Myanmar leader Min Aung Hlaing in Moscow and reached important consensus on advancing the construction of the China-Myanmar community with a shared future, charting the course for the development of bilateral relations in the new era. China firmly supports Myanmar in safeguarding its sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity and national stability, and in following a development path that suits its national conditions, promoting political reconciliation and transformation, and opposing external interference in Myanmar's internal affairs. China is willing to work with Myanmar to implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, steadily propel the construction of key projects, enhance connectivity, and continue to open up the market for Myanmar's high-quality products, so as to better achieve the goal of promoting peace through development.
Liu Jianchao noted that in recent years, the CPC has maintained many forms of exchanges with political parties in Myanmar, enhancing mutual understanding and trust. The CPC stands ready to strengthen exchanges and political dialogue at all levels with political parties in Myanmar, deepen mutual learning on party building, reform, and development, and promote exchanges and cooperation between governments, local governments, enterprises and non-governmental organizations through the "political party +" channel to promote people-to-people bonds.
Khin Yi and other guests of Myanmar said, Myanmar-China friendship has spanned for a thousand years, and the two peoples have a profound "pauk-phaw" friendship. Myanmar thanks China for the valuable help in Myanmar's economic and social development, the timely assistance to Myanmar after Myanmar was hit by natural disasters such as earthquakes, and for speaking up for Myanmar on the international stage. In recent years, Myanmar-China cooperation in infrastructure construction, economy, trade, and energy has yielded fruitful results. Myanmar is committed to deepening cooperation with China such as the Belt and Road cooperation and promoting the construction of the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor, and will do its utmost to ensure the safety of Chinese projects and personnel in Myanmar. All political parties in Myanmar are willing to strengthen exchanges and dialogues as well as deepen exchanges and mutual learning with the CPC.
