Jakarta, Indonesia – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Sugiono has received a visit from the Permanent Representatives of ASEAN Member States to ASEAN (Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN/CPR) and the Ambassador of Timor-Leste to ASEAN, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia on June 5, 2025.
In the meeting, Sugiono expressed appreciation for the significant progress in the ASEAN cooperation framework, especially after the adoption of the ASEAN Community Vision (ACV) 2045 at the 46th ASEAN Summit in May 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

"We need to strengthen ASEAN mechanisms, including the CPR and the Jakarta channel, as well as the strengthening of the ASEAN Secretariat and ASEAN Headquarters in Jakarta to optimize our potential in addressing regional and global challenges," said Sugiono.
The Minister also emphasized the importance of the CPR's role in advancing ASEAN Community Building, effective cross-pillar ASEAN coordination, and relations with ASEAN external partners. Peran penting CPR adalah salah satu kunci untuk mencapai ACV 2045.
Sugiono also expressed appreciation to Timor Leste, which will officially become the 11th member of ASEAN this year.
