Dili, June 5 (AseanAll)  — On June 5, 2025,The President of the Republic of Timor-Leste, J. Ramos-Horta, visited the São Miguel Arcanjo College, in Comoro, Dili, where he delivered computers and printers to the institution. The donation, made possible with the support of international friends and partners, aims to strengthen pedagogical resources, especially for students pursuing science and technology fields.

During his speech, Ramos-Horta reaffirmed his personal commitment to promoting education, highlighting that he often seeks to bypass bureaucratic obstacles to ensure that support reaches students and schools that need it most quickly and effectively.

The Head of State also addressed broader initiatives within the scope of national development, including infrastructure projects such as improving rural roads and providing resources for small businesses, emphasizing that such investments are essential for the country’s sustainable progress.

The President took the opportunity to thank the generous contribution of friends and partners from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Japan, China, Malaysia and South Korea, who have donated a variety of goods – from clothing, footwear and computers to essential medicines and vitamin supplements. Ramos-Horta highlighted that this spirit of international solidarity is a vital complement to the government’s efforts in supporting the most vulnerable populations.
