Nay Pyi Taw, June 3 (AseanAll)  — U Than Swe, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar received Mr. Mongkol VISITSTUMP, Ambassador of Thailand to Myanmar on 30 May 2025 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw. 

During the meeting, both sides cordially exchanged views on further enhancing the existing bilateral ties and collaboration across various sectors in areas of mutual interest, enforcing the post-earthquake rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts. 

Also, they discussed ways and means to closely cooperate and collaborate with ASEAN. 

Furthermore, U Than Swe handed over the Commemorative Medals of Appreciation to Ambassador of Thailand as a sincere appreciation for the invaluable humanitarian assistance extended by the citizens of Thailand during the Mandalay Earthquake Disaster which occurred on 28 March 2025. 

Also present at the meeting were senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar.
