Hanoi, May 16 (AseanAll) — More than 450 Vietnamese citizens who were immigration victims in Myanmar were brought home, said Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) of Vietnam Pham Thu Hang on May 15,2025,according to Vietnamese government portal(VGP).

Speaking at a press conference in Ha Noi, Pham Thu Hang confirmed that around 200 Vietnamese nationals are still stranded in Myanmar.
The Ministry is actively working with authorities in Myanmar, Thailand, and other relevant countries, while instructing Vietnamese missions in the region to coordinate in returning remaining victims.
The Ministry also issued a warning to citizens, urging them to be cautious of overseas job offers that promise "easy work with high pay."
It advised individuals to carefully verify job details, including employment terms and work locations, to avoid falling prey to scams or ending up in illegal or undocumented work situations abroad.
