Wellington, May 14 (AseanAll) — On May 14, 2025,Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister of New Zealand, Christopher Luxon, during his Working Visit to New Zealand.
The meeting served as a reaffirmation for the strong and enduring ASEAN-New Zealand partnership, which has steadfastly grown and broadened over the past five decades.
Kao Kim Hourn and Christopher Luxon exchanged views on regional and international developments and pathways to further advance ASEAN-New Zealand ties, including the proposal for the establishment of an ASEAN-New Zealand Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, in conjunction with the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of ASEAN- New Zealand Dialogue Relations this year.
