Hanoi, June 12 (AseanAll) — Vietnam National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will resume flights linking Hanoi in Vietnam, Luang Prabang in Laos, and Siem Reap in Cambodia from July 1,2023.
Flight frequency will initially be three a week, on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and will increase to five from October 30.
The resumption of trans-Indochina flights after a period of suspension due to Covid-19 will contribute to the recovery of regional tourism and trade, investment, and cultural exchanges between the three countries.
Vietnam Airlines began operating flights to Siem Reap in 2000 and to Luang Prabang in 2006. In 2019, before the outbreak of Covid-19, the carrier transported nearly 400,000 passengers on its trans-Indochina routes.
