China allows tour groups from ASEAN countries to visit Xishuangbanna in Southwest China’s Yunnan Province, free of visa, for up to six days, the National Immigration Administration(NIA) of China announced on February 10, 2025.

As of November 30, 2024, China has granted unilateral visa-free access to ordinary passport holders from 38 countries, including two ASEAN countries Brunei and Malaysia. On November 30, the website of the Chinese Foreign Ministry released frequently asked questions on Visa-free Entry into China.
