Jakarta, March 14 (AseanAll) — Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn welcomed the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Republic of Indonesia, TEAN Samnang, at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat on March 13, 2025.
The meeting evolved around preparations for the upcoming visit by Hun Sen, President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Cambodia, to the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat.
Dr. Kao Kim Hourn reaffirmed the ASEAN Secretariat’s readiness to support and work closely with Ambassador TEAN Samnang, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Republic of Indonesia as well as the Permanent Mission of Cambodia to ASEAN to ensure the success of the historical visit. This imminent event holds special significance as Cambodia chaired ASEAN three times in 2002, 2012, and 2022, respectively, under the leadership and premiership of Hun Sen.
