(AseanAll) — On 7 January 2025, Philippine Ambassador to the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, with residence in Argentina, Grace T. Cruz-Fabella presented her letter of credence to President Luis Lacalle Pou in a ceremony held at Palacio Estévez in Montevideo, Uruguay.
Present during the presentation ceremony was interim Foreign Minister Nicolás Albertoni. A total of twenty-four Ambassadors presented their credentials to President Lacalle Pou.
The Philippines and Uruguay will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in December 2025. Bilateral cooperation activities in key development areas include food security, agriculture, education, climate change, renewable energy, digital and emerging technologies.
