Sultan of Brunei sents condolences to Chinese leaders over 6.8-magnitude earthquake in Xizang(Tibet)

(AseanAll)  — Sultan of Brunei has sent condolences to Chinese leaders over 6.8-magnitude earthquake in Xizang(Tibet).

According to Radio Television Brunei(RTB)on January 9, 2025, Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has consented to send messages of condolences to Xi Jinping, President of the People's Republic of China and Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, the Government as well as to the People of the People's Republic of China following an earthquake that struck Dingri County, Xizang Autonomous Region, People's Republic of China recently.

According to Chinese authorities, a 6.8-magnitude earthquake hit Dingri County, Xigaze City, Xizang Autonomous Region, China at 9:05 am on January 7, 2025. As of 6 am on January 9, the earthquake has killed 126 people.
