Jakarta, January 9 (AseanAll) — On January 9, 2025, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, Secretary-General of ASEAN, and Ambassador Sarah Al Bakri Devadason, Permanent Representative of Malaysia to ASEAN, captured a historic moment in front of the newly installed logo of Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship for 2025.
This symbolises the beginning for Malaysia’s Chairmanship, as the logo will be proudly displayed at the lobby of the ASEAN Secretariat’s New Building throughout this year.
The logo represents not only Malaysia’s leadership, but also the collective unity, shared aspirations and forward-looking vision of ASEAN.
Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship logo and theme, “Inclusivity and Sustainability,” were officially unveiled by Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia in October 2024 in Vientiane, Lao PDR, when Malaysia accepted the Chairmanship from Lao PDR. Malaysia officially assumed the Chairmanship of ASEAN on 1 January 2025.
