Vientiane,November 29 (AseanAll) — On November 28th, 2024, Thongsavanh PHOMVIHANE, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR receives a courtesy call from Dr. Bader Abdulla Saeed bin Saayed Almatrooshi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Lao PDR.
On this occasion, Thongsavanh PHOMVIHANE Warmly Welcomes Dr. Bader Abdulla Saeed bin Saayed Almatrooshi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates to the Lao PDR with the residence in Hanoi, Vietnam.
He also highly values friendly relations and good cooperation between the Lao PDR and the United Arab Emirates since the establishment of diplomatic relations on 15 October 1996, this year marks 28 years anniversary. The two countries have enjoyed warm relations in terms of diplomatic and political ties as well as mutual support both in regional and international fora, expressing appreciation on political cooperation between the two countries, reflected on the regular exchange of congratulatory letters by the leaders of the two countries in various important occasions.
Both sides agree to further enhance the bilateral relations as the Lao PDR is ready to work closely with the UAE side, particularly in the field of development on trade, investment, mining, industry, agriculture, labour, hotel, tourism and education. They also agree to continue support each other, where possible, at the international area, such as the UN.
Thongsavanh PHOMVIHANE also informs that in 2024, the Lao PDR officially opened the Visit Laos Year 2024 under the theme “A Paradise of Lao Culture, Nature and History”, expressing hope that H.E. Ambassador would continously encourage people from the United Arab Emirates to visit the Lao PDR, Proposing that the UAE side to encourage more investors from the United Arab Emirates to explore the potential areas of investments in the Lao PDR, particularly in agriculture, industry and other interested areas (He added).
Meanwhile, Dr. Bader Abdulla Saeed bin Saayed Almatrooshi expresses warm congratulations and best wishes to Thongsavanh PHOMVIHANE on his appointment as Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR, and emphasize his hope for continue strengthening of cooperation between two countries in the future.
