Thai PM meets with U.S. Secretary of Commerce to strengthen economic cooperation

San Francisco, November 17 (AseanAll)  — On 16 November 2023,Mr. Srettha Thavisin, Thai Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, had a bilateral meeting with the Honorable Gina M. Raimondo, U.S. Secretary of Commerce, during the APEC Economic Leaders' Week in San Francisco, United States.

The Prime Minister underscored Thailand’s support for the U.S.’ APEC Host Year and its priorities and exchanged views on the economic policies and developments in Thailand and the U.S. 


The Prime Minister reiterated the Government’s commitment to proactive economic diplomacy and willingness to be the U.S. trusted and reliable supply chain partner, especially in areas of mutual interest, such as semiconductor, EV and green energy transition. 

The U.S. Secretary of Commerce expressed her keen interest to work closely with the Prime Minister to drive tangible cooperation between Thailand and the U.S. in this matter.
