Kuala Lumpur, October 27 (AseanAll)  — On October 26, 2025, Thai Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul gave an interview about the signing of the Joint Declaration by the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand on the outcomes of their meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The signing of the Joint Declaration by the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand on the outcomes of their meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia was witnessed by Donald J. Trump, President of the United States of America, and Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia, as well as other stakeholders. All sides strive to work together in making peace which is far more worthwhile than the loss of people's lives and assets.

The Thai Prime Minister had the opportunity to speak with the Cambodian counterpart, who affirmed that Cambodia would adhere to the guidelines and agreements that have been mutually signed. This is considered the course of action that will lead to a de-escalation of the conflict.

With regard to a dialogue with the US President, the Prime Minister called on the US to consider reduce the tariff rate further, as Thailand have been cooperating with the US in various dimensions. Thai Ministry of Commerce and other relevant agencies will later discuss with the U.S. Trade Representative on the matter.
