(AseanAll) — Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet sent a congratulatory letter on September 7,2025 to Anutin Charnvirakul, who was recently elected as the 32nd prime minister of Thailand, expressing hopes to restore and strengthen relations between the two neighboring countries.
In his message, Hun Manet praised Anutin’s “resounding victory” as a reflection of the “strong confidence” placed in his leadership, stating his belief that Thailand will achieve greater progress under the new prime minister’s “wise and capable leadership.”
Highlighting the close ties between the two nations as neighbors and fellow members of ASEAN, the Cambodian Premier underscored that “peace, harmonious coexistence, and shared prosperity” are the common aspirations of both peoples.
“I sincerely hope that with our shared commitment to building cordial ties and good cooperation, our two peoples will enjoy prosperity and thrive in harmony and joy,” Hun Manet wrote.
He added that he is ready to work closely with his Thai counterpart to “restore relations between the two countries to normalcy, rebuild mutual trust, and transform the shared border into one of peace, cooperation, development, and prosperity.”
Hun Manet concluded by wishing Thai Prime Minister Anutin success in his new role.
