Bangkok, June 30 (AseanAll) — Thai Prime Minister’s Office Minister Jiraporn Sindhuprai presided over the opening of LOVE PRIDE PARADE 2025 at Supachalasai National Stadium in Bangkok on June 29,2025,celebrating Pride Month and Thailand’s ongoing progress toward equality.
The event was supported by more than 200 organizations across the public and private sectors, civil society, and the LGBTQ+ community. Among the attendees were former Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin, Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt, and Supaluck Umpujh of the Private Sector Partnership Network.
This year’s parade followed the recent enactment of Thailand’s Marriage Equality Law, which made the country the first in Southeast Asia to legally recognize same-sex marriage. Officials have described the legislation as part of broader efforts to expand rights and protections for all individuals.
Pride Month activities are taking place across Thailand throughout June, promoting equal rights and freedom of identity. These celebrations also help raise Thailand’s international profile as a destination known for cultural expression and inclusive values, drawing interest from both domestic and international audiences.
