Indonesian President Prabowo Inaugurates Ngoerah Sun Wellness and Aesthetic Center in Bali

Denpasar, June 25 (AseanAll)  — Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on June 25, 2025 inaugurated the Ngoerah Sun Wellness and Aesthetic Center (NSWAC) at the Central General Hospital (RSUP) Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G Ngoerah in Denpasar City, Bali,Indonesia.

The NSWAC is a collaboration between Indonesian Government’s hospital and a South Korean hospital, offering advanced and comfortable services in plastic surgery, dermatology and aesthetics, dentistry, medical check-up, and other care services.  The presence of the facility symbolizes a transformation in Indonesia’s healthcare services, strengthening Bali’s position as a leading destination for medical tourism.

Accompanied by Deputy General Manager Dr. Nahla Shihab, Prabowo inspected various facilities and service areas, including the registration area on the 1st floor, the Dermaesthetic Clinic and Laser Treatment Room on the 3rd floor, and the Dental Laboratory Room on the 5th floor.

In his remarks, Prabowo expressed his appreciation for the NSWAC establishment, marking the progress in delivering international-quality healthcare in Indonesia.

“I think this is a breakthrough, a great achievement that enables us to provide services on par with the best on the global stage,” Prabowo stated.

The President also highlighted the importance of the healthcare facility in supporting national economic resilience.  According to the President, the international collaboration has produced impressive results—not only benefiting Indonesian citizens but also attracting patients from abroad.

“This is an extraordinary partnership.  It’s already succeeded in attracting international patients.  I also see that the facilities are remarkable, and the technology is advanced.  I extend my congratulations to everyone who have developed this asset for our nation,” the President remarked.

Also present at the inauguration were Indonesian Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Director of RSUP Prof. Dr. I.G.N.G Ngoerah Bali, I Wayan Sudana, and Deputy General Manager Dr. Nahla Shihab.

The newly opened Ngoerah Sun Wellness and Aesthetic Center (NSWAC) at Prof. dr. I.G.N.G Ngoerah Central General Hospital has been warmly welcomed by the public, according to President Director dr. I Wayan Sudana.

The center, which signifies the Government’s effort to provide high-quality healthcare services accessible to Indonesian citizens, was inaugurated by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on June 25.

It has been operating in a limited capacity since January and has begun admitting domestic and foreign patients since February.

“We are grateful because apparently the service users have shown a growing interest each passing month. It is evident from the number of patient visits, and it is inseparable from our income,” dr. I Wayan said on a separate occasion.

The President Director expressed hope that the NSWAC can reduce the number of Indonesian citizens traveling abroad to obtain wellness and aesthetic treatments.

“We hope such treatments are available in Indonesia, especially in Bali, as the standards are on par with those in South Korea. Thus, people who need such treatments can get them in Indonesia, here in Bali, so there’s no need to seek care abroad,” he said.

Tari, a resident of Denpasar and a visitor who received a facial treatment at the NSWAC, expressed appreciation for the facilities and services.

“They have advanced and complete facilities, and the building is comfortable, just like a five-star hotel. Everything is excellent and the employees are friendly,” she said.

The service center is expected to not only provide quality alternatives for individuals seeking modern healthcare treatments, but also to promote local economic growth and further strengthen Bali’s position as a leading healthcare destination in the region.
