Hanoi, May 27 (AseanAll) — International food magazine TasteAtlas recently ranked Com Tam, Vietnamese broken rice, in the 4th position in the top 100 most delicious rice dishes throughout the world.
According to Vietnam Economic News(VEN) , this is a traditional and popular dish of the Vietnamese people, especially in the south. It has long become one of the special street foods loved by locals and foreign tourists.
The second Vietnamese dish in this list is steamed chicken with sticky rice, at the 87th place. At the 77th position was Vietnamese-style fried rice, usually prepared with white rice, garlic, salt, and pepper. The rice is cooked and then stir-fried in hot oil.
According to Taster Atlas, the purpose of the ranking is to promote great local cuisine, instilling pride in traditional dishes.
