Bangkok, December 19 (AseanAll) — Thai Deputy Government Spokesperson Aiyarin Phanrit disclosed that the Government is pleased with the global market survey of Euromonitor International on "Top 100 City Destinations Index 2025," which named Bangkok the world's most visited city for the year 2025.

According to the survey, Thailand’s capital welcomed as many as 30.3 million international tourists this year. This accomplishment reflects the Government’s effort to promote tourism and Thai people’s positive image as hospitable hosts to welcome visitors from across the globe.
According to the Aeronautical Radio of Thailand Ltd. (AEROTHAI)’s FY2025 report (September 2024 – October 2025), a total of 904,796 flights flew in and out of Thailand, with an increasing traffic toward the end of the year. The December 2025 Winter Schedule shows the number of as many as 84,543 flights, while January 2026 is expected to reach 87,835 flights. Total flight volume for FY2026 (September 2025 – October 2026) is projected at 928,165 flights, consisting of 473,364 international flights, 343,422 domestic flights, and 111,379 overflights, an average of 2,543 flights per day, a 3% increase compared to the previous year.
During the upcoming New Year holiday period, from December 29, 2025, to January 7, 2026, a total of 27,632 flights is expected, averaging 2,763 flights per day. The Government has instructed relevant agencies to be fully prepared and to implement measures to accommodate the surge in flight volume during the New Year festival. This is to ensure that air traffic management remains safe and efficient while minimizing potential delays for travelers.
