The global recognition underscores Palawan’s status as a leading travel destination, known for its breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage. It continues to attract international attention, with other top Philippine destinations—Boracay, Mactan, and Panglao—also in the running for the 2025 World’s Best Awards.

Palawan’s natural beauty offers visitors a perfect blend of adventure and tranquility, featuring limestone cliffs, hidden lagoons, rainforests, and the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tourists can also experience eco-friendly tours along the island’s pristine beaches and vibrant marine ecosystems.

Beyond nature, the island immerses travelers in its cultural heritage, with indigenous communities like the Batak and Tagbanua welcoming guests and sharing ancient traditions. Culinary enthusiasts can enjoy fresh seafood and fusion cuisine, paired with the Philippines’ signature warm hospitality.

Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco emphasized the importance of this recognition, stating, “This award will serve as an inspiration to tourism stakeholders of the rest of our Philippine destinations, encouraging them to promote sustainable tourism and showcase the Philippines’ unparalleled natural beauty and hospitality.”

Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles, Chief Operating Officer of the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines, shared her pride in Palawan’s achievement, adding, “This recognition is a testament to Palawan’s extraordinary beauty and the unwavering dedication of our people to delivering exceptional experiences. We remain committed to preserving and promoting the island’s natural and cultural heritage for generations to come.”

With this accolade, Palawan continues to enchant travelers with its diverse attractions, cementing its place as a must-visit destination. Whether seeking adventure, relaxation, or cultural immersion, Palawan promises an unforgettable journey.
