Indonesian Foreign Minister Meets with Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister at WEF Davos

(AseanAll)  — At the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2025, Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono held a meeting with Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al Saud.


The bilateral meeting between the two Ministers discussed bilateral cooperation between the two countries and the planned state visit of President Prabowo to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as well as the plan for the Saudi Foreign Minister's visit to Indonesia, including the discussion of the deliverables from the intended visit.

In addition to discussing bilateral cooperation, the Indonesian Foreign Minister and the Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister also discussed the developments in the situation in Palestine. The Indonesian Foreign Minister expressed support for the ceasefire agreement in Gaza. Sugiono emphasized the importance of the comprehensive implementation of the ceasefire agreement to stop the loss of lives in Gaza.


The meeting between Foreign Minister Sugiono and the Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister on the sidelines of the WEF 2025 Annual Meeting in Davos was the first bilateral meeting between the two Ministers since Foreign Minister Sugiono was appointed in October 2024.
