Jakarta,November 7 (AseanAll) — On November 7, 2024, the 2nd Meeting of ASEAN-United Arab Emirates Joint Cooperation Committee (AUAE-JSCC), convened at ASEAN Headquarters in Jakarta to discuss the progress of ASEAN-UAE Relations, including the implementation of the ASEAN-UAE Sectoral Dialogue Partnership: Practical Cooperation Areas (PCA) 2024-2028, as well as possible areas of future cooperation between ASEAN and the UAE to further advance the ASEAN-UAE Sectoral Dialogue Partnership.
Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Economic Community, Satvinder Singh, and Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to ASEAN, Abdulla Salem Obaid Salem AlDhaheri, co-chaired the Meeting.
The Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN or their representatives and their respective delegations were in attendance along with representatives from the ASEAN Secretariat. Representatives from Timor-Leste also attended as Observer.
Singapore has been invited by the Republic of South Africa as a guest country to participate in G20 meetings under its 2025 G20 Presidency.
