Bandar Seri Begawan, November 28 (AseanAll)  — On November 25, 2025，Chinese Ambassador to Brunei Xiao Jianguo paid a farewell audience with His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office of Brunei.

Ambassador Xiao reviewed the development of China-Brunei relations and cooperation in various fields during his tenure, and expressed appreciation to His Royal Highness for the long-standing care and support for bilateral relations. Xiao emphasized that China stands ready to take the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations with Brunei in 2026 as an opportunity to deepen practical cooperation of all areas, so as to achieve new and greater progress in the building of a China-Brunei community with a shared future.

Billah thanked Ambassador Xiao for his contributions to advancing Brunei–China relations and expressed appreciation for China’s remarkable achievements in economic and social development as well as the significant role in regional and international affairs. Billah stated that Brunei side looked forward to working with China to implement the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two countries,to deliver more practical outcomes in bilateral cooperation.

Xiao also presented His Royal Highness with the English edition of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China, Volume V, and briefed on the fourth plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

On the same day, Xiao Jianguo paid a farewell audience with Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brunei.

The Ambassador briefed Her Royal Highness on the latest development of China-Brunei relations and expressed appreciation toHer Royal Highness for her long-standing dedication to promoting friendship between the two countries. He expressed hope that Her Royal Highness would continue to care and support the development of China-Brunei community with a shared future.

Hajah Masna appreciated the hard work of Ambassador Xiao, spoke highly of the development ofBrunei-China relations and the fruitful outcomes of bilateral cooperation, and expressed her commitment to continuing to promote friendly exchanges and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.
