Chinese embassy donates to the Association Cafe Timor to support the development of Timor-Leste’s Coffee Industry

(AseanAll)  — On 23 October, 2025, the Chinese embassy in Dili donated to the Association Cafe Timor (ACT) to support the development of Timor-Leste’s Coffee Industry.

Chinese ambassador Ms. Wang wenli, President of ACT Mr. Daniel Leong, DG for Agriculture, Cafe and Planting Industry Mr. Marinho Soares and Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Timor-Leste Mr. Zhao Suocheng attend the donation ceremony.

Ms. Wang said that, since 2021, the Chinese embassy and ACT have established extensive and close ties. We donated to ACT for 5 consecutive years, supported ACT’s participation in the China International Import Expo (CIIE) for 3 consecutive years, and will support ACT to held the Timor-Leste Coffee Festival this year. Coffee is a key cooperation area between China and Timor-Leste. The Chinese embassy will firmly implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, including deepening communication and enhancing technical exchanges, to make Timorese enterprises and people fully enjoy the fruits of China and Timor-Leste cooperation.

ACT and government departments of Timor-Leste all expressed their gratitude to the Chinese Embassy for its long-term trust and support, and hoped that the two sides could continue the good cooperation, promote the increase of coffee production, and contribute to the diversified development of Timor-Leste’s economy.
